At PillowMINT, we’ve always believed that the best connections come from meaningful experiences. So, when we launched our very first roadshow—PillowMEET—we wanted to make sure it was purposeful, sustainable, and, of course, packed with creativity. Now that the journey has wrapped up, we’re excited to share some of the moments that made PillowMEET so special.
Sustainability: A Lighter Footprint, A Bigger Impact
Sustainability isn’t just a trend for us—it’s a responsibility. We took extra care to reduce our footprint while keeping things seamless and engaging.
Sustainable Eats – Our catering choices were all about fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal ingredients. Plus, we made sure to cut down on single-use plastics and offer plenty of plant-based options.
PillowEAT: The Take-Home Gift with Purpose – Instead of handing out event swag, we asked our DMC partners to share a favourite recipe from their destination. The result? PillowEAT—a beautifully printed cookbook that guests could take home. The best part? To get a copy, attendees had to return their lanyards for recycling. A little incentive with a big impact!
No-Waste Name Tags – Instead of opting for plastic name tags, we had blank name tags printed. This eliminated waste from unused, pre-printed badges due to last-minute attendee changes.
Corporate Social Responsibility: Giving Back While Moving Forward
Events should leave a lasting impact—not just on attendees but on the communities they touch. At PillowMEET, we integrated thoughtful CSR elements into the roadshow experience.
Tokens for Charity – No lucky door prizes here! Instead, guests collected tokens as they met our DMC partners. These tokens could then be deposited into a collection jar for charities hand-selected by each of the DMCs, supporting causes close to their hearts in their destinations.
This initiative not only fostered engagement but also ensured that our event contributed to meaningful causes worldwide. Charities selected included search and rescue volunteer organisations, animal welfare, women’s empowerment initiatives as well as many other fantastic causes. More conversations, more engagement, and more giving—what’s not to love?
